The Department offers a single-subject study programme English Studies focusing on English language, Anglophone literatures and cultures.
The Department also offers a teacher education study programme for English language and literature in combination with another subject.
With a sufficient number of applicants, the English Studies single-subject study programme also takes place in an external form.
Applicants are accepted for studies without entry examinations.
The Department offers a single-subject study programme English Language for Professional Communication focusing on English language, Anglophone literatures and cultures. With a sufficient number of applicants, this study programme also takes place in an external form.

It is recommended that the applicants for doctoral study become acquainted with research areas of doctoral theses supervisors at the Department (doc. Hricková, doc. Hvozdíková, doc. Cipriánová, prof. Gadušová, prof. Miššíková, prof. Beňuš) and optionally arrange a consultation on the intended research.
The applicants must have completed Master’s degree university studies. Doctoral study takes place both in daily and external forms.
The applicant chooses one of the available topics, researches the relevant sources and independently prepares a thesis project to be presented and the admission interview.
